OUR LODGE.
The Middle Ridge Outfitters Lodge is located on the pristine shores of Kepenkeck Lake in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The location is ideal for big game hunting as it borders on the Bay du Nord wilderness reserve in Moose Management Area 27 in central Newfoundland. The Middle Ridge Lodge has been in operation since 1995 and has enjoyed a high big game hunting success rate over the past 28 years. The Lodge is only accessible by air during the hunting season.
Our hunting lodge is fully equipped and all the modern amenities:
- Spacious 5 bedroom camp with a sleeping capacity for 10 guests

GETTING HERE
Travel to Newfoundland and Labrador can be achieved by both air and ground.
Air
If arriving by air, guests will be arrive through St. John’s International airport. As our 7 days hunts run Sunday to Sunday, guests will be required to arrive in St. John’s no later than the Saturday prior to the first day of the hunt. Guests will spend the night at one of the nearby hotels where they will be picked up Sunday morning by a lodge representative for travel to the heliport in Clarenville. Approximately 1.5 hour drive.

Ground
Guests who travel by ground will make their way to Newfoundland and Labrador through our ferry service located in North Sydney, Nova Scotia. The ferry service is approximately 6-7 hour crossing to Port au Basque Newfoundland. From there, guests will drive east to Clarenville, where they will overnight in a local hotel. The guests will be provided details of the heliport location upon arrival in Newfoundland.
